Part of the job for a publicist is to facilitate interviews with clients and the media. Sometimes that means being present during those interviews where the publicist takes on the additional role of personal assistant for the client and talent wrangler for the media outlet. That experience prepared me for this morning’s temp job.
I arrived at “The Daily Buzz” studios at 5 a.m. to serve as the booking and promotions assistant to the executive producer. Her main responsibility was to facilitate the appearances of three stars from “General Hospital.” Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall), who is also the first season winner from “Dancing With The Stars,” was the special guest co-host. Scene stealer Carolyn Hennesy (Diane Miller), who also plays “Barb” on Cougar Town, was a guest along with surprise guest Lisa Locicero (Olivia Falconeri).
